CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

Integrative Medicine emphasizes the connection between the mind and body and prioritizes the practitioner-patient relationship as a foundation for effective care. Our 26th Annual Fall Conference on Integrative Medicine in Women’s Health explores strategies to achieve optimal health and healing for female patients through a variety of complementary and alternative treatment approaches. This conference covers a broad range of topics, offering the latest evidence-based treatments, current clinical insights, and practical strategies for implementation in practice. Designed to expand knowledge, enhance clinical skills, and promote effective collaboration, this educational activity equips healthcare professionals to provide exceptional, patient-centered care.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs underlying identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants, clinical expert input, Symposia Medicus’ online survey, and other medical and nursing data such as current clinical guidelines, research findings, literature reviews, and patient safety considerations.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each faculty member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based, and practical information to participants.

The conference format includes didactic lectures, question and answer sessions, case studies, and small group breakouts. Following a group of lectures, the question-and-answer sessions allow attendees to ask the faculty critical and challenging questions about caring for patients during various integrative health situations.

The breakout sessions, designed to facilitate even greater interaction between faculty and participants, offer an opportunity to engage in group discussions on subjects relating to your particular area of interest. Please indicate your breakout session topic choices on the conference registration form in this brochure. Space is limited, so please reserve early.

CONFERENCE LOCATION

Sedona offers something for everyone, whether you're drawn to nature, history, art, culture, or shopping. With over 80 galleries, restaurants, metaphysical shops, and specialty stores, there’s always something to explore. Influenced heavily by Native American culture, much of Sedona's artwork captures the distinctive spirit of the Southwest. Known worldwide as a destination for relaxation, healing, and spiritual enrichment, Sedona exudes a unique charm that makes it an unforgettable place to visit.

Situated at the southern entrance to Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona sits at an elevation of 4,500 feet, offering a cool retreat from the Arizona desert’s heat. It’s just a two-hour drive north of Phoenix, an hour southwest of Flagstaff, and 2½ hours southeast of the Grand Canyon.

About four miles from downtown Sedona, the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock is set against a breathtaking Red Rock backdrop, surrounded by the pines of Coconino National Forest, with creeks winding through the area. The resort features a par-71 championship golf course, three pools (including a lap pool), a full-service salon and spa, and top-notch fitness facilities, including tennis courts, aerobics classes, a weight room, and sauna.

Just a mile from the resort, the Village of Oak Creek offers a variety of shops showcasing local crafts, jewelry, western wear, and artwork. A few miles away, Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village is another must-see destination with more shops, galleries, and restaurants to explore.

Whatever your pleasure, you’ll be sure to find it in Sedona, at our 26th Annual Fall Conference on Integrative Medicine in Women’s Health.
